Watery Wednesday - Heron in Washington

One of my favorite wildlife pictures.
This was taken while I was cycling along the Olympic Peninsula near Port Townsend Washington.

Please check out Watery Wednesday for some more fantastic "Watery" photographs!

  1. Isn't it wonderful to see a heron? No matter how many times, I always feel the wonder of it. This one looks like he's posing for you, standing on that rock!! Beautiful sky behind, and even a reflection. Perfect picture.

  3. I just posted about herons last week- they remind me of dinosaurs when they creep along the shore.

  8. The graceful bird looks like a fine-lined pencil sketch in a watercolor background. I can see why this one is special to you.
